Genesis is a custom typeface inspired by the flowing rhythm of Hebrew scrolls and the expressive movement found in traditional calligraphy. The design seeks to capture the handcrafted spirit of ancient writing while translating its timeless visual qualities into a modern, cohesive alphabet. Each letterform reflects a balance between historical influence and contemporary refinement, honoring the beauty of scriptural linework through thoughtful rhythm, contrast, and structure.

The creation of Genesis began with research into Hebrew scrolls, studying the organic stroke patterns, letter proportions, and visual cadence that define sacred handwritten texts. Initial sketches explored variations in weight contrast and the calligraphic motion that shapes each form. These analog concepts were developed digitally in Adobe Illustrator, where stroke structure, spacing, and geometric consistency were refined. The final typeface was constructed and exported using Calligraphr, allowing for clean digital assembly and functional character mapping. Additional adjustments ensured cohesive rhythm across the full alphabet, resulting in a typeface that merges historical inspiration with a contemporary typographic approach.
