Presidential Elections in Crisis is a conceptual calendar that transforms election data into a visual narrative about global political instability. Rather than presenting dates as a traditional calendar, the project reimagines time as an evolving graphic system, using a fractured Earth as a central metaphor for uncertainty and democratic change.
Combining information design with expressive visual storytelling, the piece balances complex data with a bold, editorial composition. Color, scale, and hierarchy guide viewers through the calendar while reinforcing the project's central theme of political tension and global interconnectedness.
The project combines information design with editorial illustration to transform complex election data into a compelling visual narrative. Global election dates were researched and organized into a custom calendar system, while the fractured Earth illustration and atmospheric textures were developed in Adobe Photoshop to reinforce the theme of political instability.
The final composition, typography, and grid system were designed in Adobe InDesign, balancing dense information with visual clarity. Through hierarchy, color, and scale, the project demonstrates how data visualization can communicate complex global issues in an engaging and accessible format.
