Presidential Elections in Crisis is a conceptual calendar illustrating the unprecedented number of global elections taking place in 2024. The design visualizes a year defined by political tension and volatility, using an imploding Earth as a metaphor for the instability surrounding democratic transitions worldwide. Each date corresponds to a nation’s election, transforming a typical calendar format into a visual map of global uncertainty and political shift.
This project merges information design with visual metaphor to comment on the fragility of political systems. The fiery palette and fragmented textures evoke both urgency and collapse, reinforcing the theme of a world under pressure. The design process included gathering global election data, developing the imploding Earth visual concept, and experimenting with type hierarchy to create a layout that felt both informative and expressive. All textures and visual effects were created in Adobe Photoshop, while the final calendar layout and typographic structure were built in Adobe InDesign to ensure clarity, precision, and print-ready formatting.
