KIDS Magazine is a 46-page photography editorial that captures the joy, spontaneity, and limitless energy of childhood. To create a magazine that felt playful and alive, I photographed my own children and followed their lead throughout the day—starting at the neighborhood playground, moving to the lake for splash shots, and ending at a local carnival filled with color, motion, and glowing lights. The resulting collection of images celebrates candid expression and authenticity, forming a vibrant and energetic visual narrative of what it's like to be a kid.

All photographs were captured using a digital camera and edited in Adobe Lightroom Classic to enhance color, tone, and clarity while preserving the natural energy of each moment. The magazine layout was designed in Adobe InDesign, using playful typography, varied spacing, and intentional negative space to support the rhythm of the imagery. The process involved curating the strongest photographs from the day, organizing them into a cohesive visual flow, and designing a layout system that emphasized storytelling through movement, color, and expressive composition. The final 46-page publication brings together editorial design and lifestyle photography to create a lively and immersive print piece.

River Islands Billboard

After completing the magazine, I learned that Northern California’s premier master-planned community, River Islands, was seeking lifestyle photography for their website and social media. I shared images from the project, and they acquired full rights to use them across their marketing campaigns.
